Our Range

Custom Stainless Steel Products Brisbane | Fabricated to Your Specification from Our Workshop

Fabricator handling stainless steel sheet on a workshop machine

The catalogue exists for buyers whose requirements fit within it. Many do not. A residential kitchen renovation with an unusual island dimension, a seafood retailer who needs a display cabinet sized to their specific floor plan, a food truck builder who needs wall cladding in a grade that will not corrode in a coastal Queensland climate: for all of these, the catalogue is the wrong tool. The right tool is a fabricator who works from your drawing, your measurements, and your material specification.

A1 Custom Stainless & Kitchens operates a fabrication workshop at Burpengary East producing custom stainless steel products, along with aluminium, brass, and copper fabrications, for residential kitchens, commercial venues, trade applications, food businesses, and architectural projects across South East Queensland.

No minimum order. Single-piece residential commissions and multi-item commercial schedules go through the same process: site measure, fabrication drawing for approval, production in-house, delivery or installation by our own team.

What Comes Out of Our Workshop

Stainless steel benchtop with a formed upstand and folded edge

Stainless Steel Benchtops

Built to your exact dimensions in 304 or 316 grade with your choice of brushed, satin, or mirror finish. Tap holes, sink cutouts, and backsplash returns are formed into the fabrication during production. This is important: a backsplash return is shaped into the steel sheet before welding and cannot be retrofitted once the top is complete. If you need a return, it must be specified before we cut. We confirm this at the site measure on every job.

For benchtops that need underframes, legs, and full commercial specification including steel gauge selection, see our commercial stainless steel benches Brisbane page.

Splashbacks and Wall Cladding

Coolroom with stainless steel shelving and lined walls

Cut to your exact height and width with all apertures, power points, rangehood brackets, and tap penetrations cut at the workshop before the panel leaves. No on-site cutting, no position guesswork. Finish matched to your benchtop. We fabricate residential kitchen splashbacks, commercial kitchen wall lining, cafe counter splashbacks, and food truck interiors in both 304 and 316 grade depending on the environment.

Wall cladding panels in stainless steel are widely used for coolroom interiors, wet area surfaces in processing facilities, and any commercial environment where hygienic, non-porous, chemically resistant wall surfaces are required. If you are also specifying commercial refrigeration for a coolroom installation, we fabricate the cladding and handle the refrigeration from the same site measure.

Kitchen Islands and Freestanding Frames

Sized to your floor plan, fabricated with your choice of frame configuration, shelving, or drawer integration, finished from brushed through to mirror polish. Residential island projects are coordinated with your kitchen designer or builder. Commercial island builds are integrated into the bench layout, exhaust canopy positioning, and refrigeration scope as part of a complete kitchen fitout.

Shelving and Racking

Wall-mounted shelving in 304 stainless to your specified length, depth, and bracket configuration. Not in standard module widths that may not suit your wall layout. Freestanding racking for high-load storage applications. Where shelving is part of a broader bench installation, both are drawn from the same site measure so heights are consistent.

Sinks and Laundry Tubs

Custom stainless steel sinks in single, double, and triple bowl configurations. Residential laundry tubs in stainless for renovation projects where standard sizes do not fit the available space. Commercial sinks fabricated as integrated bench units are handled through our commercial benching page.

Bars and Service Counters

Bar tops, drip trays, integrated sink bowls, and service counter surfaces for hospitality venues across Brisbane. A full bar build in stainless typically combines a fabricated top surface with an integrated sink, drip tray, and underbench structure. We work from a sketch, a photograph, or a detailed drawing, whichever level of detail you can provide.

Trade and Specialty Fabrications

Trolleys, equipment frames, washdown stations, butchery surfaces, seafood processing tables, hospital and aged care preparation surfaces, cool room components, and food truck interiors. Food truck builds typically combine bench fabrication with commercial exhaust canopy installation to meet Queensland food truck registration requirements. We handle both in-house. If you have a drawing or a description, call and we will tell you whether we can build it.

For delivery and installation across the Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, and broader South East Queensland, see our Sunshine Coast commercial kitchen page for local project information.

Common Questions

Questions Buyers Ask About Custom Stainless Steel Fabrication in Brisbane

Ordering, materials, lead times, and specifications answered for Brisbane residential and commercial clients.

Do you take single-piece orders, or is there a minimum quantity?

Single-piece orders are taken with no minimum quantity. A homeowner needing one custom splashback panel and a commercial kitchen needing a full bench schedule both go through the same process.

Can you fabricate for residential kitchens as well as commercial?

Yes. We fabricate residential benchtops, splashbacks, sinks, islands, and laundry tubs from the same 304 grade and with the same workshop standards as our commercial work. Residential clients typically come to us when dimensions or finishes fall outside what stock products offer.

Why is aluminium not suitable for direct food contact surfaces?

Aluminium reacts with acidic foods, including citrus, tomato, and vinegar, and with many commercial cleaning and sanitising chemicals. This reaction can transfer metalite compounds to food and cause surface degradation. For structural frames, wall cladding, and non-contact applications, aluminium is a practical and cost-effective material. For any surface that directly contacts food, 304 or 316 stainless is the correct specification.

Can stainless splashbacks be cut for power points before delivery?

Yes. All apertures are cut at the workshop based on measurements from the site measure. The panel arrives with every penetration in the correct position.

What is the fabrication lead time for custom stainless steel products in Brisbane?

Most fabrications are completed within two to three weeks from drawing approval, depending on complexity and current workshop capacity. If you have a specific date requirement, call 07 3888 7534 to discuss.

How do I request a quote?

Call 07 3888 7534 or email info@a1customstainless.com.au. Send your dimensions, intended use, and finish preference. Drawings if you have them, or a photograph and measurements if not. We produce a fabrication drawing for your approval and provide a fixed price before any work begins.
